The Punjab Higher Education Department has made a big plan to keep female students safe. They decided that only female staff should work in schools and colleges just for girls. This plan is for all schools, both public and private, so girls can feel safer at school.
Before, some men worked in areas meant for female students, but now they have been moved to different places. Also, all schools and colleges now have to put CCTV cameras. These cameras help to keep watch during working hours, and female officers check every hour to make sure things are safe.
In schools, colleges, and hostels for girls, they are changing male staff to female staff. The CCTV cameras will save videos for 30 days, so people can check places like quiet hallways to make sure nothing bad happens.
Other rules say male cooks can’t work in girls’ hostels, and male security guards can’t go inside either. Now, only female guards will work inside these places. Money has been given to install the cameras fast so all these safety plans can start quickly.
All schools and hostels have gotten notices about these rules, and they have to follow them to keep a safe, happy place for female students to learn in Punjab.
