Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced a new plan to deliver insulin right to the homes of children with type-1 diabetes. She shared this news at a special health meeting on Friday. The plan includes special cards to make sure that sick children get their insulin on time. A government-approved company will take care of the deliveries while following important rules to keep the insulin safe and cold. They will start this pilot project in three districts, including Lahore, and families can apply through a special app or helpline.
Maryam Nawaz also said that Basic Health Units (BHUs) will be renamed ‘Maryam Nawaz Health Clinics’ to improve healthcare in faraway areas. She approved plans to create ways to check how well healthcare workers are doing their jobs.
Furthermore, she agreed to build new labs in hospitals in Mianwali, Jhang, Layyah, Attock, and Jhelum. On International Girls’ Day, the chief minister talked about how important girls are for the future. She encouraged girls to be brave and follow their dreams.
Maryam Nawaz said it is the government’s job to help girls achieve their goals. To support this, there are new programs like e-bikes, virtual police stations, the pink button for safety, and scholarships to help girls get a good education and feel empowered in Punjab.
