Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif officially started the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program on Wednesday to help people in Punjab get affordable homes.
At the event in Lahore, Maryam Nawaz said that the Punjab government will offer interest-free loans of up to Rs1.5 million. These loans can be paid back easily over 7 years.
The loans are available for building houses on small plots—up to five marlas in cities and up to ten marlas in villages.
