Ghulam Nabi Memon, the head of the Sindh police, has announced a new health insurance plan for police officers and staff. This plan starts on November 1. In a meeting at the Central Police Office, he thanked the Sindh government for this helpful initiative. Many important police leaders from Karachi and other departments were there too.

The Sindh government has set aside money for this health policy. It will give up to 1 million rupees for medical care to police workers and their families at 200 private hospitals across the country starting November 1. The IGP said this is the first time they have a health policy like this, and he wants officers to make sure it works well for everyone who needs medical help. He also said it’s important to train welfare officers and inform police personnel about the policy. They need to collect and check family information with Nadra, which helps keep track of citizens’ data.

He asked for good teamwork between police welfare officers and the insurance company’s people in each district so that there wouldn’t be any delays when getting medical help. District officers and unit leaders were told to meet with their teams to share the benefits of the health policy.

Also, the Sindh AIG welfare reminded everyone that there is a helpline at the Central Police Office that is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This helpline is there to help police personnel with any questions they have about the new health insurance.
